Description of Project

 

We hired Kyle to update the entire exterior envelope of a house that had a significant amount of deferred maintenance. The roof, siding, windows and doors were all replaced. The project also included the addition of a new gazebo styled porch, a rear entry porch, and the installation of an outdoor shower. Kyle further made suggestions on how to mitigate drainage issues and improve the utilities for the property resulting in the installation of French drains and the placement of an underground propane tank and a new underground electrical service. Finally, the project included interior renovations to a bathroom, laundry, mudroom, garage and several ceilings. And as one can imagine a forty year old house undergoing this much work had some hidden problems.

 

Our Experience

 

The project went very well. Kyle separated the various components of the project into bite-sized chunks that we could monitor independently for progress, completion and cost. While a weekly project meeting was set up as part of our plan, Kyle could be counted on to communicate real time whenever a decision that would affect cost or schedule arose. As a contractor experienced in shore communities he has solid recommendations for materials and environmentally friendly solutions.

 

His crew did a good job of maintaining the work site. Demolition went quickly; and carefully and the team checked in with us every time we were on site to make sure work was what we expected. One of the things we liked about this contractor was his ability to always reach the plumbers and electricians to ensure they were onsite when required to keep the project on schedule. Their finish work is excellent.Whenever we had a concern or small change they were discussed and resolved quickly and appropriately. We are very satisfied with our project and recommend him to our friends.
